Jesus Said is a division of Monkey Business, Inc. which has been around since 1980.  Our offices are located in Calumet, Michigan which is way up in the Keweenaw Peninsula of the Upper Peninsula.  Yes, we do get a bit of snow (300+ inches is not unusual).  While some of our stores are seasonal, our main office is open year round.  Weather has been known to slow things down significantly anytime from November through April. 

Monkey Business operates its own retail stores in resort areas of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.  The stores sell a rather unique mix of Monkey Business design garments,  humorous shirts, lounge wear, fashion jackets, jewelry, accessories, and stuffed animals (heavy on the monkeys) AND Jesus Said products. 

Our Jesus Said line of designs started in 1995 with "Go Fishing".  The  response to our respectful Biblical humor was so good that we came out with "Take the Boat Out" and "Take a Hike" a couple of years later. The key element of a Jesus Said design is that the Scripture verse cited in the design actually does refer to the main design.  Some citations are admittedly stronger connections than others.  We are very careful to not abuse our use of Scripture in our designs.

Over the years we have created many designs related to all kinds of topics and activities.  Unfortunately not all of them were as funny to everyone else as they were to us.  We recently "retired" many designs and now just offer what have proven to be our Best Sellers.  We test all new designs in our own stores and will offer only those which are proven to appeal to the broad market.
